Ephesians 2:10 (NIV)
“10 For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
1 Corinthians 8:12 (NKJV)
“12 For as the body is one and has many members, but all the members of that one body, being many, are one body, so also is Christ.”
Romans 12:3-8 (NIV)
“3 For by the grace given me I say to every one of you: Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the faith God has distributed to each of you. 4 For just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, 5 so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. 6 We have different gifts according to the grace given to each of us. If your gift is prophesying, then prophesy in accordance with your faith; 7 if it is serving, then serve; if it is teaching, then teach; 8 if it is to encourage, then give encouragement; if it is giving, then give generously; if it is to lead, do it diligently; if it is to show mercy, do it cheerfully.”
There was a very strong pull in the spirit earlier today for someone who had been divinely created and purposed to serve as a little “pinky” toe, yet most recently decided to force themselves to act and operate as if they were a little “pinky” finger. While both the little “pinky” toe and little “pinky” finger share quite a few similarities, however they are definitely different. Both were created and positioned as part of the total makeup of the human body. In addition, they are both the fifth (5th) digits in regards to the makeup of both the hand and foot. While somewhat similar, both the hand and foot were also uniquely positioned exactly where Father God purposed for them to be.
According to http://www.Healthline.com “The little toe is also known as the fifth digit of the foot. It is the smallest and weakest of all five digits. Still, like the other toes, it assists the foot while walking, jogging, or standing.” Furthermore, this site reveals that “The pinky finger is the fifth digit of the hand and is the least often utilized of the five fingers. As the smallest digit, the pinky is located next to the ring finger. In comparison to other fingers, the pinky possesses the most diminished range of motion.” Despite this knowledge concerning the purpose of the little “pinky” toe and little “pinky” finger, while their role may seem insignificant as part of the hand and foot; this fact yet remains: No matter how small, they were both still created for a divine purpose.
For illustration, ask yourself this question “Can the little “pinky” finger switch places with the little “pinky” toe and still fully function?” While this is most definitely possible via surgery, imagine for a moment if you will a little “pinky” finger on a foot. Just from the appearance alone, you will soon realize that the little “pinky” finger would begin to cause great discomfort for the foot due to its length. In another illustration, while the little “pinky” toe may not cause great discomfort due to its length, however the other fingers on the hand would have to work extremely hard at readjusting to a shorter fifth digit. Overall understand that the little “pinky” finger working with the other four fingers allows for the hand to hold wide objects and to grip things better. Lastly, the “pinky” toe while short in stature, assists the whole foot when it comes to balancing, running, jumping, climbing, etc.
The ultimate goal here today is to obediently share this scribal message of encouragement and edification for whomever this may be for. No matter where you have been uniquely positioned within the body by Father God, understand that He foreknew before He created you exactly what He purposed for you to do for Him. It doesn’t matter if your function is large, medium or small, just know that “You do matter.”
In order to remain in a place of peace, never seek to measure your divine purpose with that of someone else within the body. The end result will bring confusion and you will ultimately shortchange Father God, yourself and those you are connected to by not operating in divine purpose. Additionally, don’t allow others to minimize your significance because they may have a larger function within the body. Know that anytime you are not honestly operating fully in your divine purpose it ultimately affects the whole body.
Now more than ever it is truly important for you to obediently learn how to grow in confidence and become content with the measure you have been given steward over. Cast down all fear and begin to tap into your divine purpose and become godly confident through the strength of your relationship with Christ. Begin to take your focus off the things of this world and with the joy of the Lord become honestly content in your real value to the Father. Yes, you do matter to Father God. And yes, you do matter to the body as a whole. So dear precious one, stand tall. Stand strong. Become confident and content in your divine purpose and who the Father uniquely created you to be. Blessings & love.
Father God, touch your dear precious one reading this message right now. I ask that you begin to go deep and heal the broken places within their heart. I also ask that you allow for the light of your Holy Spirit to shine in the areas where they may have felt unchallenged, unfulfilled, belittled, or even small in their own eyes.
Open their spiritual eyes to help them see that what you have uniquely purposed them to do for you is of great value and importance within the body. Where they have been torn down; allow others who are strong in you to help guide them back to a place of peace and safe pasture. Fill them up with an overflow of your joy as they sit at your feet and learn how to truly become content and confident in their divine purpose. I ask all of these things in Jesus Name. Amen.
